Bury-St-Edmunds Twestival is taking place on the 11th September from 5pm - 7pm (or later!) at Cafe Rouge in the centre of Bury-St-Edmunds, Suffolk.

Everyone is welcome - if you work or live in or around Bury and use or are affected by social media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube etc.) and would like to meet up with other like minded people working in and affected by the digital sector come to Bury-St-Edmunds Twestival to meet others like you.

We’re raising money (all proceeds!) for the Rainbow Ward at the West Suffolk Hospital (Bury St Edmunds) to help them purchase new TVs and DVD players for the ward (target is to raise £125 minimum).

We’ll be kicking things off at 5pm and will be staying until late - remember to follow @bsetwestival.

There will be a free drink (on arrival) sponsored by Cafe Rouge (thanks!) and free nibbles sponsored by BeLocal. Just £5 a ticket with 100% of the money going to a good cause! We’ll be collecting cash on the evening.

Just in: David Ruffley - is supporting Bury-St-Edmunds Twestival and we hope will be able to pop in (in-between local parliamentary business) for a quick drink. David also offered his general support for the event:

‘I am very supportive of the Bury-St-Edmunds, Twestival Local. This great initiative puts people together to not only have fun but also do public good, like raising money for the Rainbow Ward at the West Suffolk Hospital.’

Just in: The West Suffolk WiRE (Women in Rural Enterprise) Network are supporting the Bury-St-Edmunds Twestival. Thanks Alex! If you are a member of the network you are very welcome and please help spread the word about the event to others who live and work in and around Bury-St-Edmunds/West Suffolk.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Best regards,

Simon Grice
